The Gracefield Permanent Collection

Gracefield Arts Centre is one of Dumfries' most familiar and well-loved institutions and it is now over half a century since the Gracefield Gallery and its Permanent Collection came in to being.

The collection features over 550 artworks by Scottish artists, or artists with strong connections to Dumfries and Galloway with works dating from the 1840s to the present day. Selections are shown in the Galleries in themed shows such as portraiture or landscape around 3-4 times per year, or individual items can be viewed at any time by appointment with the Arts Officer.
